The directory inside the PhotoWebGuide.com is human
made because each site is human evaluated before
being added to the PWG. With your help we
will make the PhotoWebGuide.com one of
those great 'what-if' places where the permission to
imagine things differently is the everyday modus
operandi.
We work hard to be sure the PhotoWebGuide.com is
accurate, up to date, fully functional and as useful
to our visitors as possible. We are always in the
process of verifying each of our links and if you
find a dead or bad link please let us know
here. It will
make the guide more valuable and useful to all
photography enthusiasts and we thank you for your time and
informing us about the bad link. Your support along
the way is very much appreciated!
If you are using any Norton product that has the Ad Blocker feature you can
choose to let ads show on select sites. We recommend that you allow ads on
sites that really interest you because you may miss a valuable
offer or the announcement of the newest or latest. Ads keep you up to date
with what is going on in your field of interest by showing the new
and improved and making special offers to let you purchase the newest and
improved of what ever you have an interest in.
Plus many times the ads are how the site is paying for the info that you are there for in the first
place. If they cannot pay for the content you are using the site may stop
improving and adding to the content or even worst the site may go out of business.
A portion of the funds collected from
sponsors and donators are directed straight back into the
development, maintenance and advertising of this
site. So please check out our sponsors because they
are part of the effort in making PhotoWebGuide.com
possible. If you are interested in supporting this
site please visit the
advertisement page or make a
donation.
There is no cost involved to
add a link or links
to PhotoWebGuide.com.
Link listings are FREE. However, a
reciprocal link back to PhotoWebGuide.com
is required.
Your support helps us keep the lights on, the
server running, and the website and blog filled with
great art and information. Thanks from everyone here
at the PhotoWebGuide.com,
and please visit us soon.
We are
glad you are here and hope you find beneficial information on our site. Tell
your friends about us. We would love to see them on line also.
It is a square
inside a square. As you know a square can only be a square as long as
all sides are equal. A square has an integrity that only a square can
have. A square has reliability, veracity, sincerity and
authenticity.
And if you don’t like that answer then it is an
abstract section of the grid on a focusing screen in
a camera.
The PWG has it's own
Robot** and he is is an intelligent,
information-harvesting, internet robot. He automatically explores the web,
collecting data from web sites he has judged to be similar to the Theme (photography,
photographers and photographic techniques) he has been
trained for. He is always looking for more photography information and
resources to add to the PhotoWebGuide.com™. He has over
110,600 sites to look over in his growing database to find the sites that are now listed in the Guide. Each site he finds
we look over to see if it will make a good addition to the PhotoWebGuide.com™. Then we decide which Theme-Category of the 93 to add the
site to. Sometimes we need to add a new Theme-Category to help make PhotoWebGuide.com™ better.
When the Robot started he had an IQ of 1000 and now he has
an IQ of 15,800. He gets better and better at finding great sites to add to
the Guide. PhotoWebGuide.com™ has a large comprehensive,
vertical-themed Link Directory on photography, photographers, photographic techniques and
information all on the internet. We hope you keep coming back again and again
to see what he has found for us to add and make the best PhotoWebGuide.com™.
** Our robot is able to seek out
and find web sites by matching his Theme training against a Uniqueness
score derived from an analysis of each web site visited. After scoring
the web site, he saves a condensed analysis of it to a powerful
relational database that is compatible with Microsoft Access.
He is not a random wanderer like most
web robots. We train him, using the concept of themes. He systematically
looks for themed or multiple-themed sites of our choosing and training, in
an intelligent fashion, not bothering other web sites. He is search engine
friendly and is non-invasive to visited websites and follows all the
Robotic Guidelines as described throughout the Internet.
After his initial training is complete,
he is virtually automatic, except for all the work he makes us do in
evaluating each site he finds for us to look at. Each site is human evaluated before being added to the PWG.
We have over 625* hours in work on the content only in PhotoWebGuide.com™ since we started website development
back in July 2008, and there will be many more hours to
come. Therefore, he is automatic only to a point. Our robot is the best tool
available for doing this tedious, time-consuming job.
* This is equivalent to over 15 work weeks of forty hours
each or over a quarter year of personnel hours.
Thank you for your continued support and patronage.
