About the above list The Recommended Reading On Photography list got its start back in the early days of me teaching photography. I knew how helpful a good book could be in navigating the ins and outs of photo technique and the study of the principles of art. Because each course had a time limit the students could not learn all there was to learn about the topic we where covering in the class and the idea of a list or bibliography was very helpful. A list becomes a reference to come back to and continue growing your interest in the wonderful world of photography. The Recommended Reading On Photography that I gave to my students was of course directed to the topic or subject we covered in the class or workshop they where in. This list which is part of the PWG has grown to cover all areas of photography and will remain in flux as it grows, adjusting to new technology and hopefully continue getting better and better. Of course books, magazines and videos go out of print over time therefore you may not be able to find all the items on the list. I am open to suggestions for adding to the list but I will always need to look over the book or item before it goes on the Recommended Reading On Photography list. Byron Rogers said "Examine from a contemporary viewpoint the works of past masters of photography. You will find it is a rush and worth your time!" We will continue adding to the reading list, be sure to check back.
